You are on the homepage of Finnish artist Sergey Belikov. His name may not be familiar to the general public: he does not actively participate in exhibitions and does not appear in glossy magazines. Yet the value of his work is recognized worldwide. Many portraits are held in private collections, such as the portrait of Martti Ahtisaari with the widow of the former president, and the portraits of Titta and Gustav Serlachius in the Finnish Gösta Museum.

Portrait painting is a special art form that requires quiet, focus, and patience. It is one of the most challenging genres in art. Sergey Belikov works with a unique multilayered technique developed over 30 years: creating a single portrait can take six to eight months. Once finished, the portrait usually goes directly to the client, so it rarely appears in exhibitions. In this genre, exhibitions are not the main measure of skill or creative activity.
